Reports to: CEO
Status: Full-Time
The Fund Development and Administration Coordinator provides administrative support for the CEO and Philanthropy Officer while building collaborative relationships with donors, team members and volunteers. In this role, you will assist in writing, editing and reviewing donor communications to ensure they effectively communicate Big Brothers Big Sisters’ mission and values. Manage day-to-day office functions and general office maintenance. Complete a broad variety of administrative tasks that facilitates the CEO’s ability to effectively lead the organization. This is a new position to support the organization’s growth and responsibilities will be evolving. Key responsibilities include:
Fund Development
• Manage Salesforce donor database, gift entry, and gift acknowledgement
• Provide giving history updates, generate donor and donation reports
• Track fund development metrics and prepare associated reports
• Conduct prospect research and provide information to the Philanthropy Officer and CEO
• Write, review, edit and submit grant applications and reports
• Communicate regularly with current and past donors through email, letters, newsletters
• Create and execute point of sale campaigns, third party events, and other campaigns
Administration
• Order office supplies
• Maintain office equipment and schedule general building maintenance
• Arrange and handle logistics for meetings including scheduling, developing, compiling and distributing materials and minutes
• Assist with special projects
• Maintain internal and external contact and vendor lists
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2 years’ experience in office operations and administration, nonprofit fundraising or relationship management and sales required
• Experience with Salesforce preferred
• Ability to anticipate and solve problems
• Proficiency with Microsoft products and aptitude to learn new software and systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Passion, enthusiasm, creativity, and a positive outlook
• Handle sensitive information in a confidential, professional manner
